Q: How do I sign up?
Opening an account is free, simple and quick. All you need to do is fill out the online registration form with your details. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email in which you will be asked for follow the link provided to confirm your account. Once you have done so, you will be able to login to our secure client area and fund your account in the Deposit section.
Q: How long does it take to open an account?
Opening an account will only take a few minutes from start to finish.
Q: What are the different account types that you offer?
Market Punter offers three main account types: Micro, Standard and Premium. Each account offers different benefits depending on the account size. All account types provide you with a free daily technical strategies newsletter, a dedicated account manager and client support.
Q: Do you offer Islamic Trading Accounts?
Yes, we offer Islamic trading accounts that comply with Sharia law. Our Islamic accounts permit traders to open positions without getting charged interest or fees.
Q: Do you offer any training?
Yes, we offer our clients a variety of training options, from online video tutorials to one-on-one training sessions with your account manager. Contact your account manager today in order to better understand the level of training that will be suitable for you.
Q: I forgot my log in or password, what should I do?
You can always reset your login details in the case that you have forgotten them. Within the login area at the top right corner of the homepage there is a ‘Forgot your password?’ link. In order to reset your password you can simply click on this link, enter your email address and click on ‘Reset Password.’ You will receive an email with instruction on how to reset your password. If you have forgotten the email address you registered with, please contact our client support via live chat, email or phone.
Q: How do I change my password?
In order to change your password, you will need to login to your account, click on the Account tab at the top of the website and choose:

Then enter a new password.

Q: How can I update my personal details?

Q: What are binary options?
Binary options, or ‘digital options’, are options that pay out a fixed return depending on whether a certain condition has been fulfilled at the time the option expires. For example, you can speculate that the price of EUR/USD will be higher than the current price at the expiry of the trade. If you are correct, you earn up to 85% payout on your initial investment. The binary options offered by Market Punter are over-the-counter (OTC) options which allow clients to trade the economic effect of price changes in individual currencies, shares, share indices and commodities quoted on the world’s leading exchanges, without physical ownership of the underlying instruments.
Q: How can I view my trading history?
You can find your trading history information in the Account section under the My Trades tab.
Q: How can I view my account transaction history for credits and charges?
You can find your transaction history within the Account section under the Balance History tab.
Q: How can I view my balance?
The upper right corner of the trading area will show your balance. Alternatively, you can have a more detailed view by clicking on the Balance History tab in the Account section.
Q: What is the payout for options traded?
We offer payouts of up to 85% on successful trades (options that expire in-the-money), and anywhere from 0% to 15% rebates for unsuccessful trades (options that expire out-of-the-money).
Q: What is a call option?
An option that yields a profit for the buyer when the price of the underlying market (strike price) at the expiry time is higher than the price at which it was purchased. If it closes at exactly the same price, the original investment amount is returned to the client.
Q: What is a put option?
An option that yields a profit for the buyer when the price of the underlying market (strike price) at the expiry time is lower than the level at which it was purchased. If it closes at exactly at the same price, the original investment amount is returned to the client.
Q: What is an 'in-the-money' expiry?
A financial term to describe a profitable closed trade. In the case of binary options, a CALL option that expired above the strike price at purchase, or a PUT option that expired below the strike price at purchase.
Q: What is an 'out-of-the-money' expiry?
A financial term to describe an unprofitable or losing closed trade. In the case of binary options, a CALL option that expired below the strike price at purchase or a PUT option that expired above the strike price at purchase.
Q: What is an 'at-the-money' expiry?
A financial term to describe a binary options trade in which the price at expiration is identical to the strike price. In such a scenario the initial investment amount is fully returned to the trader.
Q: What is the investment amount?
The amount of money invested in an option.

Q: What is the expiry time?
The expiry time is the time (and date) at which an option expires. The site’s trading hours and expiry times are shown according to your PC’s time zone.
Q: Why do some assets have different payouts, isn't the risk the same?
We offer payouts that reflect varying market conditions, including trading volumes, the number of active traders in a market, and other factors. Although we try to keep payouts as consistent as possible, the payouts may be adjusted lower or higher due to changing market conditions or current promotions.
Q: Does the sentiment indicator represent an analysis done by professionals, or simply the trades made by people on your sites?
The Sentiment Indicator provides you with a general sign of the direction most traders on our platform are taking at any given time. This feature should be used as a compliment to other market tools such as our daily technical strategies reports.
Q: Do you offer custom options?
Yes, our StrategiX custom options provide you with the ability to customize key contract terms, such as the option type, level and expiration time to create a binary option suited to your strategy. The following kinds of options are available: Above/Below options, Range options, One Touch options and No Touch options. To access custom options, click on the ‘StrategiX’ tab.
Q: Is it possible to open a call and put option on the same option?
Yes, it is possible to take a call and put option on the same option during the same hour. Please become familiar with our terms and conditions in regards to trading restrictions.
Q: What is the minimum trade amount?
The minimum trade amount is $5 for 30 second, 60 second, 2 minute and 5 minute expiry times. For longer expiry times, the minimum trade amount is $20.
Q: What is the maximum trade amount?
The maximum trade amount is $500 for 30 second, 60 second, 2 minute and 5 minute expiry times. For longer expiry times, the maximum trade amount is $1,000.

Deposits & Withdrawals
Q: Is there a fee for depositing funds into my account?
We do not charge any fees for depositing funds into your trading account.
Q: What is the fee to withdraw funds from my account?
Withdrawals are free of charge.
Q: Where do I deposit funds and what are my deposit options?
In order to deposit funds into your account, login to your account and click on the Deposit button on the right hand side, or within the Quick Links menu. Deposits can be made using international Credits Cards including Visa and Mastercard. Alternatively, you can deposit via wire transfer, Skrill/Moneybookers and numerous debit cards.
Q: What are the currency options when depositing?
Clients may make deposits in US dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), Sterling (GBP) or Australian dollars (AUD). The currency selection will be based on your registration and fixed thereafter. Please note that all trading activity will be shown in USD and any deposits other than USD will be converted to USD at the prevailing exchange rate.
Q: What is the minimum deposit?
The initial minimum deposit amount is USD 250, EUR 250, GBP 250 or AUD 250.
Q: What is the maximum deposit?
The maximum deposit amount at any one time is USD 5,000, EUR 5,000, GBP 5,000 or AUD 5,000.
Q: Do you accept PayPal?
We do not currently accept PayPal. Deposits can be made via international credit card such as Visa or MasterCard. Other methods are also available such as wire transfer, Skrill/Moneybookers and various debit cards.
Q: I received an error in depositing funds. What do I do?
If you have received an error while trying to deposit funds, you may need to contact your credit card company or bank in order to verify that the international transaction is allowed and that the funds are available. Q: What are the withdrawal methods?
We first and foremost attempt to pay back to the original source from which your deposits were made. Funds can only be transferred to a bank account held in the same name as your Market Punter trading account and will not be transferred to third parties.
Q: Can I withdraw funds deposited via credit card back to a bank account?
Once a withdrawal request has been approved, the funds will be sent by electronic funds transfer to your nominated bank account. However please note that if you have deposited funds with a credit card and have not turned over the funds, these funds cannot be paid to your bank account. In such cases funds will be transferred back to the credit card.
Q: How much time does it take for withdrawals to be processed?
Please allow up 3 business days for the withdrawal request to be processed.
Q: Is there a minimum withdrawal limit?
No, there is absolutely no minimum withdrawal limits or time frame between withdrawals.

Q: What supporting documents do I need to start trading?
To meet our obligations under the New Zealand Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT Act), we are required to verify your identity before you can trade on your account. We attempt to do so electronically using the information submitted. In the event that we are unable to verify your account details electronically, we require a ‘certified copy’ of a primary photographic ID document such as a passport or national identity card.
Q: Can I start trading before I submit my supporting documents?
No, unless your identity has been verified electronically, you cannot start trading before submitting all required documents.
Q: What are the terms & conditions for bonuses?
Market Punter offers generous welcome bonuses to clients who open a new binary options trading account and begin trading with us. In order for bonus funds to be released as cash into your account, you will need to trade a multiple of the deposit amount plus the bonus amount
Q: Can you further explain the different terms I see in the bonus indicator?
The bonus indicator contains a few terms as you see described below:
- Available cash – the cash that you have available to trade or withdraw at any time.
- Pending bonus – refers to the bonus funds that are pending to be converted to available cash once the trading volume in question has been reached.
- Bonus progress bar – This bar indicates the percentage completed of the trading volume in question.

No, your funds are not restricted in any way, regardless of any bonus you may have received. Likewise, withdrawals can be made without restriction.
Q: Do you hold my funds in a segregated bank account?
All client funds are held in a segregated bank account with a top-tier Australian New Zealand bank.
Q: What is a segregated bank account?
A segregated bank account is a separate account used by us to keep our clients’ money separate from the firm’s money. A segregated account affords our clients an important level of financial protection. Client funds cannot in any way be used towards funding the ongoing operations of the company. Furthermore, we do not use client money to hedge our positions or to meet the trading obligations of other clients.
Q: What are the taxation implications for my profits?
Market Punter does not provide tax advice and the impact of any profits or losses generated from trading may have on your overall tax position. We recommend that each client obtain their own independent taxation advice in relation to the impact of binary options transactions on their particular financial situation.
